Dirty, Worn Hotel with Nasty Front Desk Clerk

Do not stay at the Hotel Lautrec if you go to Paris - there are many other “true” three-star hotels to choose from instead of this hotel was rated three stars in 2006, but now should be rated as a one-star hotel.  The rooms are tiny and dirty with peeling paint, loose fixtures, and dirty curtains and bed linens.  The carpet in our room was so stained and dirty that we were afraid to walk on it in our bare feet.  There are no ameneties in the rooms except for a quarter-sized soap round and a 1 ml packet of shampoo-body wash - that’s it.  Go to the hotel’s website and see the picture of the man sitting at the computer.  This is the nasty front desk clerk that ignores you when you check-in during the day.  This individual reinforces the surly-French attitude towards Americans that you often hear about.
